Richard Johnson is a member of the Mercury Capital Advisors' Distribution team. As a thirty year veteran of the financial services industry, Mr. Johnson has served in a variety of senior capacities across many capital markets verticals. Prior to joining Mercury, he was Managing Director and Global Head of Client Solutions at Campbell & Co, a $5BB CTA overseeing all investor relations, sales, and product specialty efforts while working as a solutions provider to institutional investors around the world. Prior to this, Mr. Johnson served as Managing Director of Strategic Business Development at Ellington Management Group, a $6BB hedge fund focused on cultivating worldwide relationships with institutional investors. Earlier, Mr. Johnson was Managing Director of Credit Suisse Alternative Investments, where he managed Institutional Distribution for North America with responsibility for creating and delivering holistic asset solutions. He also co-founded and managed ING’s Global High Yield and Emerging Market business which deployed over $1BB in tradeable capital and specialized in emerging markets, high yield, credit derivatives, structured products and foreign exchange across three disparate time zones. Mr. Johnson has served on many boards including the Emerging Market Trading Association as a Director and likewise on several risk management and investment committees. Mr. Johnson began his career with Salomon Brothers in the same year he received his B.S. from Indiana University. He is a Series 3, 7, 8, 24 and 63 registered person with Mercury Capital Advisors, LLC, which is a member of FINRA and a securities broker-dealer in the United States.
