Paul Tam is a member of the Mercury Capital Distribution team. He was previously a Senior Vice President of Brookfield Asset Management based in Hong Kong managing private equity institutional investor relationships. Prior to this, Mr. Tam was a Managing Director of J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns & Co. in San Francisco.  He was also a Partner of Crane Capital Associates, a boutique global fundraising placement agent for alternative asset managers. He managed the origination and due diligence of Asian private equity, real estate and hedge funds, as well as placed alternative asset funds with investors in the U.S. and Asia. Mr. Tam began his investment banking career with Morgan Stanley and served as a Director at UBS, developing the bank’s Asian regional equity corporate finance, equity capital markets and mergers and acquisitions businesses.  He was also a Vice President with JP Morgan in the telecommunications, media and technology (“TMT”) investment banking practice, covering emerging communications and technology companies on the West Coast as well as serving as co-head of the Asian TMT advisory business while based in Hong Kong.  Mr. Tam graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is a Series 7, 63, and 79 registered person with Mercury Capital Advisors, LLC, which is a member of FINRA and a securities broker-dealer in the United States.
