Vice President to Partner; level to be calibrated based on experience and seniority
THE ROLE
Mercury Capital Advisors is looking for an experienced Private Capital Distribution professional who can join their New York team. The individual will report to the Head of Distribution and will work closely with the US team. They will be responsible for the coverage and continued development of relationships with US and Canadian LPs in order to raise capital for the firm’s clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Develop extensive and deep relationships with potential investors
- Demonstrate drive and determination to pitch Mercury Capital Advisors' clients to LP market
- Actively support origination activity across relevant geographical markets
- Continually develop strong understanding of Private Capital Markets and products on Mercury's platform
- Be able to close commitments
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 5-10+ years of direct investment sales experience covering North American institutions and consultants
- At least 5 years’ experience in placing alternative products such as private equity, real estate, venture capital, infrastructure and private credit
- Cultural fit – team player, confident, hardworking yet independent
- Highly motivated to continue to succeed in a sales role
- Bachelor degree required
